SI Media will introduce at IBC 2015 its new software solution for broadcasters – MediaBMS. Leveraging on one of its most successful products, MediaList Traffic, SI Media has upgraded all its functionalities and added several more capabilities.
The major features of MediaBMS are:
• Manage all contracts and rights associated with Content
• Manage and prepare several alternative long-term schedules
• Manage and complete the daily schedule, down to single frame accuracy
• Add and prepare promo and ad sales plans
• Manage alternative daily schedules, and finalize the playlists
• Import and perform reconciliation of AsRun logs
Starting with contracts signed with content providers, Broadcasters will be able to manage their content contracts, and manage all the metadata and rights associated with the content inherently in MediaBMS. This will allow them to identify and properly use all their content and manage their inventory within MediaBMS.
Users of MediaBMS will now be able to plan multiple scenarios for its long-term schedule, both for Linear and Non-Linear channels and analyse the benefits of each of these long-term plans. This includes contingency plans for sports events as an example.
The resulting analysis will be converted seamlessly into the actual daily schedule; a machine ready playlist with all programming items pre-planned as well as those derived from a promo plans and ad sales plans of the broadcasters.
Tools are provided to manage promo plans all the relevant interstitials and secondary events, and handle all aspects of ad sales injection. Users can use and generate rules to check for accuracy of promo and ad sales plans.
The resulting frame accurate playlist can be sent for transmission to SI Media playout solution, or alternative products from other vendors. Once broadcast, the AsRun log will be seamlessly imported into MediaBMS for automatic reconciliation using preset rules, resulting in content rights being recounted and automatically updated.
